"They envy us": Russian Olympic champion says the whole world is watching the Russian Olympics

Välbe declared the greatness of Russia

The President of the Russian Ski Racing Federation (RSRF), Yelena Välbe, has issued a spectacular piece of nonsense about the Spartakiad held these days in the aggressor country. The henchwoman of Vladimir Putin's dictatorial regime called the competition comparable in level to the Olympic Games and World Championships.

Välbe said this in an interview with the propaganda news agency R-Sport. In a patriotic frenzy, the three-time Olympic Games winner also expressed confidence that the tournament is of interest to the whole world, which is allegedly envious of the Russians, admiring the high level of competition.

"The Spartakiad is no different from the World Cup and the Olympic Games. It can be compared to the World Cup in skiing for sure! It's no secret that they are watching us, watching if they can see all these races on the Internet. Of course, they are jealous. The center here is beautiful, the organization is great, the track is gorgeous. But I'm not interested in them, I don't follow them," Välbe fantasized.

Earlier, Olympic cross-country skiing champion Alexander Legkov made the hypocritical statement that Russians "treat everyone with great love" and "love life."

As OBOZ.UA previously reported, Olympic high jump champion Maria Lasitskene complained that she needs to win all competitions in Russia in a year to compensate for only one victory at the Diamond League stage.
