The head coach of St. Petersburg SKA noted that the Russian Federation sponsored many international federations, which are now allegedly facing bankruptcy.

This was stated by the nephew of one of dictator Vladimir Putin's close friends in a comment to the propaganda channel Match TV. According to him, Russia will allegedly do everything to ensure that the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) retains its structure and operations.

"And they can't do it without us! Everything has collapsed for them. We have a lot of fans in the stands, we have partners. And they have no fans and no partners. The economic model has gone downhill. It's gonna be a while before they go bankrupt. It will be bad for all of world hockey. We must not allow this to happen," Rotenberg said.

Earlier, Olympic hockey champion Vyacheslav Fetisov reacted to Ukraine's call to ban Russians from entering other countries for international tournaments with the words "they don't understand".
