"They are destroying it themselves": Zakharova invents 'nationalist ideology' against Russia in IOC

Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova has hypocritically accused the International Olympic Committee (IOC) of discriminating against Russian representatives based on nationality. The accomplice of Vladimir Putin's regime, which wants to destroy Ukraine and denies its existence, called the suspension of the aggressor country's athletes from world competitions unfair.

Zakharova said this in an interview with the propaganda news agency TASS. The accomplice of Russia's military aggression against Ukraine called her compatriots victims of the IOC's policy and accused the committee of the collapse of the organization and world sport.

"We are now facing a paradoxical situation when those who are responsible for the global Olympic movement and should preserve it, protect it, not to mention develop and build it, are destroying it themselves. They are personally implementing nationalist ideology only against us, against the Union State of Russia and Belarus, killing their own organization," Zakharova said.

Earlier, her boss, Sergei Lavrov, hypocritically accused the IOC and its head Thomas Bach of destroying world sports, and three-time Olympic champion Maria Kiseleva hysterically declared that it was impossible to "cancel Russia."

As reported by OBOZ.UA, Russian Sports Minister Oleg Matitsyn complained that the IOC violates the right of Russians to support dictator Vladimir Putin and the war in Ukraine. And the head of the Russian Olympic Committee (ROC) Stanislav Pozdnyakov said that many countries allegedly do not recognize the results of the 2024 Olympics because there will be practically no athletes from Russia in Paris, and became a laughingstock on the Internet.
