Anisin reacted to the scandal with Fedotov

Former CSKA Moscow forward Mikhail Anisin urged the club not to comply with the International Ice Hockey Federation's (IIHF) decision to disqualify Russian national team goalkeeper Ivan Fedotov. The winner of the 2012 Gagarin Cup (champion of Russia) complained that representatives of the aggressor country are "kicked everywhere, oppressed."

Anisin said this in an interview with the propaganda channel Match TV. The ex-hockey player sent the IIHF to hell and added that during Russia's criminal war against Ukraine, the aggressors should not comply with international rules and laws by playing Fedotov despite possible sanctions.

"My opinion is this: we are excluded from the International Ice Hockey Federation, we are not allowed to play at world championships. We have a special military operation (that's how Russia shamefully calls the war in Ukraine - ed.), some countries are oppressing us. To hell with their IIHF! In this political situation, the previous laws are no longer valid. Because sport is politics, no matter how many people say otherwise. They kick us everywhere, they don't let us to the Olympics, they take away our flag, they ban the anthem. Screw you, and I'll say it again!" - Anisin said hysterically.

It should be noted that Fedotov was disqualified for signing with CSKA Moscow while having a valid agreement with Philadelphia, with whom the Russian national team goalie had agreed to transfer in May 2022. The very next month, the hockey player was detained and forcibly drafted into the Russian army. On August 23, it became known that CSKA decided not to obey the IIHF decision, disregarding international rules.

It is assumed that the athlete was sent to the Russian Armed Forces on purpose to prevent him from moving to an NHL club. At the same time, CSKA Moscow signed a parallel agreement with Ivan.

As reported by OBOZREVATEL, two-time Olympic champion Vyacheslav Fetisov threw a real tantrum over the disqualification of Ivan Fedotov, calling to "shove in one place" the decision of the IIHF. And coach Gennady Kurdin complained that the IIHF doesn't consider Russians to be human beings. In turn, Alexander Kozhevnikov said that Russia will "start to die out" if it leaves the IIHF.
