Sibaya, who twice won the national championship with Kazan, made this propaganda statement in an interview with Tatar-Inform. According to him, by wiping out Ukrainian cities, the occupiers are protecting Russians. However, the ex-midfielder did not specify what threatened the aggressors who unleashed a criminal war against our country.

"Everyone knows that Russia will not do anything bad to you unless you have done something wrong yourself. And Russia has always paid great attention to the liberation of other nations. It is not a country that will take away something that is not its own. This has never happened in history," Sibaya said.

He also complained that Russian athletes were excluded from international competitions. "I think it's unfair. Very unfair. Sometimes the rules lack consistency.
