"There is no hope": Valuev speaks of injustice over IOC decision on federation that mocked Ukraine

Valuev speaks out about Kremlin's federation

Former world heavyweight champion Nikolai Valuev has called the decision of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) Executive Committee not to recognise the International Boxing Federation (IBA), which is run by Russian Umar Kremlin, a political decision. The State Duma deputy unexpectedly mentioned international courts, whose rulings the aggressor country has long refused to comply with.

Valuev said this to the propaganda news agency TASS. The Z-patriot, who fiercely supports the war and the killing of Ukrainians, demanded justice from the IOC and added that the IBA is an "opposition organisation" and its non-recognition is unlawful.

"This is an illegal decision, purely political. Obviously, they want to recognise the opposition organisation, but even if they don't want to, they are being forced to. In today's realities, it will be difficult for the IBA to defend its rights, there is no hope - there is no point in talking about the fairness of international courts today," Valuev said.

Earlier, the IBA refused to comply with the requirements of the Court of Arbitration for Sport in Lausanne (CAS), which banned the election of the association's president. As a result, Kremlin's ardent fan of dictator Vladimir Putin was re-elected to his post, after which he lifted the suspension of Russians from boxing tournaments and imposed sanctions on Ukraine.

As OBOZREVATEL previously reported, unified heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk called the regime of dictator Vladimir Putin "stinking imperialism". He also recognised Russians as terminally ill.
