Fetisov names Russia's goals

Vyacheslav Fetisov, a two-time Olympic champion, expressed his confidence that Russia's mission is to ensure the vital functions of the rest of the world. The former hockey player added that the aggressor country will not be able to compete with the Western world in technological development.

Fetisov said this in an interview with the Argumenty i Fakty publication. According to the Stanley Cup winner, Russians are "not against development," forgetting that tens of millions of Russians do not even have access to gas and even the most basic household amenities.

"We need to educate people differently. Development, search for new technologies - we are moving towards this. We are not against development, we are for the right technologies. We don't need to compete with others in the production of smartphones, they do it well without us. The world will need to be fed, watered, and heated - these are the technologies that are needed, and this is where Russia will have an advantage. This is what we need to compete for. And we can do it if we aim correctly," Fetisov said.
