Clement criticized the referee of the match against Dynamo

Scottish Rangers head coach Philippe Clement called the sending off of Brazilian Gefte in the match against Dynamo Kyiv the worst refereeing decision he had ever seen. The 50-year-old Belgian specialist noted that the referee made a big mistake by showing his ward a second yellow card for a foul on Oleksandr Karavaiev.

Clement said this in a comment to reporters after the match, The Independent reports. According to the Scottish coach, the decision of the Italian referee was key in the match on August 13 and led to the defeat of his team and the exit from the Champions League.

"This decision killed the dream of our team's locker room and the dream of 50 thousand fans in the stands. After all, at such a high level, you expect better decisions. This is the worst decision I have seen in more than 30 years in football. I have a lot of thoughts in my head, but you know if I say too much I can get a suspension, so let's keep it in mind," said Clement.

As a reminder, Dynamo Kyiv defeated Scottish Rangers 2-0 in an away match in Glasgow and reached the Champions League qualifying playoffs. Now, Oleksandr Shovkovskyi's team will compete with Austrian Salzburg for a ticket to the main round of the tournament.
