The Russian national hockey team embarrassed in Kazakhstan
The Russian hockey team lost to Belarus at the Qazaqstan Hockey Open 2023. The meeting in Astana ended with a score of 4:7.
The head coach of the Russia 25 team, Roman Rotenberg, said after the match that his charges were tired to play two games in two days.
"We understood that the opponent will be much fresher. Yesterday they were resting and preparing for today's game, and we played with Kazakhstan, which also played at high speed," Rotenberg was quoted by Championship.
Russian fans could not contain their emotions when commenting on such a result.
"Did this clown also lose by a landslide? How are you going to beat Canada if your neighbors are beating you?", "This clowning is getting funnier by the day. I've only got 10 games left from the Kazakhs to talk about how much stronger we will be," the users wrote.
Fans call such a result of the meeting a disgrace.
"Dear me ... even 8-10 years ago these Belarusians were carried out in all tournaments, at least 6-7 scored ... and more than a goal from them was already considered a failure ... where are we going ..." - the Russians are coming out of shock.
Russian hockey fans wonder when this will end, hinting that Rotenberg led the national team through an acquaintance.
"Look, when will adequacy prevail? When will this surreality end? It's not normal, any adequate person understands that" the hockey fans couldn't hold back.
Recall that Roman Rotenberg is the son of billionaire Boris Rotenberg, who, along with his brother Arkady, is considered a close friend of Russian President Vladimir Putin. On April 16, Roman was appointed head coach of the Russian U-25 hockey team.
Rotenberg Jr.'s first interview in his new position sparked a strong reaction from Russian fans.
