After a long and unsuccessful search, the Russian national football team has decided on a sparring partner for friendly matches in September. The national team from the aggressor country will play two matches against the Egyptian Olympic team.

The matches will take place on 7 and 11 September in Egypt, as confirmed by the secretary general of the African country's football association. Interestingly, on 12 September, the Russians are planning to play Qatar.

The decision to organise matches with the Egyptian Olympians provoked caustic mockery from Russian fans in comments on the Sports.ru portal. They call the situation a disgrace and note that no one wants to play with representatives of their aggressor country, even for large fees.
