Vladislav Shepelev, who specializes in the triple jump, missed the Ukrainian Championship this time. Back at the European Youth Championships, it became known that the 21-year-old track and field athlete had an injury and would not be able to recover in time for the national championship.

Shepelev came to Lutsk to receive his bronze medal of the European Games, which he won on June 23 in Poland, as well as to support his colleagues on the national team.

"The season is over, I'm resting, getting ready for the fall season. It will be interesting there. The leg is almost recovered, still need some rehabilitation," said the athlete.
