The head of the Turkish club added that he has always defended the aggressor country in the Association of European Clubs (EUA).

Koç stated this in a commentary for the Fotospor publication. According to the newspaper, the president of Fenerbahce sends his team to St. Petersburg to get a contract with Gazprom, trying to pull the Russians, who previously announced cooperation with Besiktas, to his side.

"I was the only one who defended Russia in the EUA. I attach great importance to the relationship with Zenit," Koç said.
