The most expensive player in the Ukrainian football championship has been named
Shakhtar Donetsk and Ukraine national team goalkeeper Anatoliy Trubin has become the most expensive player in the Premier League. As a result of the 2022/2023 season, the transfer fee of the 21-year-old goalkeeper soared by two and a half times to the mark of EUR 22 million.
Such data is reported by Transfermarkt, which has compiled a list of the most high-profile players in our league. His club-mate Nikolay Matvienko follows Trubin, with analysts putting his price tag at EUR 20m.
The third place went to Dnipro 1 forward Artem Dovbyk (15m), with two more Shakhtar representatives - midfielders Georgiy Sudakov (11m) and Artem Bondarenko (8m) - closing the top five. The most expensive players of Kyiv Dynamo are goalkeeper Georgiy Bushchan and midfielder Mykola Shaparenko - 8m euros each.
The capital's best player last season, Vitaliiy Buyalskyi, is valued at just seven million in European currency. The total value of all Premier League players is estimated at €323m.
