The ex-coach of the Ukrainian national team from the Russian Federation attacked the head of the international federation with insults, calling for spitting on his decisions

Former Ukraine national team coach Andriy Nazarov has sworn at International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) President Luc Tardif. The 2005 European Champions Cup winner was outraged by the situation with goalkeeper Ivan Fedotov, who is not allowed to play in the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) for CSKA Moscow.
Nazarov told Championat.com about this. The 1993 Russian champion, who has also coached a number of clubs in Ukraine, Russia and Kazakhstan, called for the IIHF to ignore the position and register the player despite his current contract with the Philadelphia Flyers.
"As for the IIHF, which is supposed to be the arbiter of fates and make a supposedly fair decision, we simply cannot trust donkeys like Luk Tardif. He is an unfit and ignorant leader, and his organisation in its current form is a farce and a filthy charade. It is already clear what decision she will make, especially in the current difficult political situation in the world. Our side should not care about the opinion of Tardif and the IIHF," Nazarov said.
As a reminder, Ivan Fedotov caused a major scandal in world hockey. The 26-year-old vice-champion of the 2022 Olympics was forcibly drafted into military service last July. It is believed that Fedotov was specially sent to the Russian army to prevent him from joining the Philadelphia Flyers. The athlete signed a contract with the North Americans, but CSKA entered into a parallel agreement with Ivan.
As OBOZREVATEL previously reported, Ivan Fedotov admitted that he was literally counting the days until he could demobilise from the Russian army.
