State Duma deputy files denunciation against former Russian national footballer for "yapping at Putin"
State Duma deputy Roman Teryushkov boasted that he had written a denunciation against former Russian national footballer Yevgeny Savin. The reason for this was Savin's interview with Ksenia Sobchak, in which he sharply criticised Russian policy and the war in Ukraine.
Teryushkov said that Savin had not seen anything for eight years, "when the people of Donbass were being destroyed".
"And this bastard, I have no other words, starts throwing mud at our country, our soldiers, our president," sports.ru. quoted Teryushkov as saying.
The parliamentarian admitted that he had sent a letter to law enforcement agencies requesting that a case be opened against Savin under Article 280.3 of the Criminal Code (Public actions aimed at discrediting the use of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation).
"We hope that the decision will be in favour of the Russian Federation, and this comrade will be convicted criminally, and his way here will be closed," the MP added.
Last October, Yevgeny condemned Russia's military invasion of Ukraine. He shot a large video about our footballers in Europe, after which the propagandists of the Match TV channel started harassing Savin, who was called the "Judas of YouTube".
