Compatriots mock Maria Zakharova's anger over the IOC's "anti-Russian sentiment"

Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova has reacted sharply to the remarks made by International Olympic Committee (IOC) head Thomas Bach. The day before, the head of the IOC categorically responded to Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, who previously accused the official of betraying the sport.

The Vladimir Putin regime's henchman called the exclusion of Russian athletes from competitions politically motivated. The IOC chief reminded him of the war in Ukraine and the shameful 2014 Sochi Olympics.

"Every day we see more and more aggressive statements from Bach, who was dragged into an anti-Russian sentiment by the collective West," Zakharova said.

Such pathos caused a violent reaction among her compatriots. Sports fans from Russia called Zakharova's words nothing more than "snot and drool."
