Famous Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) fighter Anthony Smith (36-18) spoke about an offer to visit relatives in the Chechen Republic. According to the 34-year-old Omaha native, he has a stepmother from Chechnya and she invited her stepson to visit.

Smith, one of the promotion's top 5 welterweights, declined the invitation.

"The Chechen relatives invited me to visit, but I refused. Because I'm scared. I don't know, but somehow it scares me off. Plus I also fought with a guy from Chechnya, Adlan Amagov, and I heard some stories about him. And they're crazy stories. So I'm kind of not suited for all of that," Smith said in an interview with Youtube channel Ushataika.

It should be noted that Smith had his next fight in the UFC on May 13. At UFC on ABC 4, Anthony lost by a decision to Johnny Walker (21-7).

As reported by OBOZREVATEL, Ukrainian UFC fighter Igor Loss (20-4) suffered a resounding defeat in the United States. At the UFC tournament in Charlotte, the 26-year-old from Kyiv was knocked out by New Zealander Carlos Ulberg (9-1).
