Roman Salenko, the son of Oleh Salenko, the top scorer of the 1994 World Cup, admitted that his father's attempts to convey the truth to his relatives in Russia have led to nothing. According to the 18-year-old "Dynamo" player, his father's conversation with his relatives in Russia was more like a monologue, but it had no effect.

"Well, it was more of a conversation between my father and me. But honestly, we ended it right there. There was no chance there. They all knew what was going on, but they didn't believe everything we told them," - NV.

The young athlete himself has no contact with his Russian relatives.

"Even before that, I rarely communicated with them. And when the war broke out, I didn't even say anything to them," the young footballer summarized.
