Russian Volunteer Corps' sortie to Belgorod has led to unexpected consequences in Russia among football ultras
After a sortie by the Russian Volunteer Corps and the Freedom of Russia legion in the Belgorod region, football ultras from Belgorod recorded an appeal with a willingness to join the militia and work for a common cause. In the video, which was posted on fan communities, the young men in balaclavas said that they now had a real and last chance to change the future of Russia.
Russian fans believe that the victory of the Russian Federation in this war will mean the triumph of the criminal regime and the death of the Russian people.
"We are on our own land. In our hometown. We are here to save the Russian people from the Putin regime, which is leading to the extinction of the Russian nation. From the widespread corruption that is bringing the Russian population to the brink of poverty. From the arbitrariness of the security forces, through whose fault the best representatives of the nation are languishing in torture chambers or dying in a fratricidal war for Putin's criminal regime," the statement reads.
The ultras said they were starting their fight with the forces they had.
"We hope that soon, by joining forces with the fighters of the Russian Volunteer Corps, we will bring our victory closer," the fans concluded.
As OBOZREVATEL previously reported, on 22 May, representatives of the RVC and the Freedom of Russia Legion reported a raid on Russian territory, the liberation of Kozynka in Belgorod Oblast and the entry of advanced groups into Grayvoron.
As RVC representatives later said at a press conference, the raid was successful. They held control of several villages for 24 hours and then withdrew with minimal losses.
There are also trophies, and no equipment was lost: what the Kremlin's propaganda showed was actually bought by the occupiers on the black market.
