Olympic ice hockey champion Vyacheslav Fetisov has called the conditions for Russian athletes to participate in international competitions arbitrary. The fan of dictator Vladimir Putin complained that Russia failed to force organisations to treat representatives of the aggressor country with respect.
The member of the Toronto Hockey Hall of Fame said this in an interview with the Evening Moscow newspaper. He added that there are allegedly no grounds for suspending Russian athletes from tournaments, and that the recommendations of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) violate human rights.

"I think this is generally our failure. We failed to make sure that no one touches Russia. We lack the authority to put them all in their place. Including the IOC.
