Russian figure skater Alina Zagitova admired her Chinese colleagues and their choreographers, and was immediately ridiculed online. The Pyeongchang 2018 Olympic champion called the Asians relatives of Russian citizens, from whom she spied some elements for her own routines.

"I specifically watched lessons from our relatives, the Chinese. It was quite difficult, but everything is trained, practiced and shown in a ready-made version. We choose the best numbers of the season for the tour, and the coaches tell us which numbers they like best. I feel differently in different numbers, and I always appreciate how the coaches choose my programs," Zagitova said in an interview with the propaganda media.

Readers of the Sports.ru portal made fun of the athlete. They reminded her that the skater represents Tatarstan and mocked her desire to become a journalist for not knowing philology.

It should be noted that in 2018, the Kremlin organized a rally in support of Vladimir Putin on the eve of the so-called presidential elections in Russia. Zagitova took an active part in it, despite being 15 years old, and the use of minors in political propaganda is prohibited by Russian law.
