Renowned Russian football player Dmitry Vorobyov said he wouldn't go to Europe under the current political situation. The 25-year-old FC Orenburg forward played in the 2018/2019 season for the Czech Republic's National Football League (second league) club Hradec Králové.

Recalling his life, Vorobyov said that he lived in the stadium and slept on a mattress 30 centimeters off the floor. After "Hradec," the forward was on trial at FC Baník Ostrava, but he was not taken. The agent offered other options in the Czech Republic, but the Russian decided to return home

"It's not worth going to Europe now, at least for the sake of your safety. Plus there can be unpleasant moments - demands to publicly support Ukraine and show up with its flag, for example. If that were the case, I would immediately return to Russia," Sport24 quoted Vorobyov as saying.

Russian fans ridiculed such hurrah-patriotism of his compatriot.

"Also parent number one, two, three, four. And also, they don't have turnips," "[Spiritual] bonds of the brain," the Russians quipped.

The users recall a high-profile episode in a Russian bar when law enforcers forced the detained visitors to sing a song by Lyube [Russian rock band - Ed].

"I wonder if demanding in a bar to scribble something with the letter Z and sing for the sake of pleasing the law enforcers - this is what, an unpleasant moment? Or, on the contrary, a bright one, and one should rejoice with all one's Russian soul?" the fans wondered sarcastically.

Users questioned Vorobyov's intelligence.

"It's really scary to go to Europe with such a mentality. It's better to sit in safety, watch Russia Today and the "Evening with Solovyov" turds," people said in the comments.
