Russian football legend complains that "the whole of Europe is at war against Russia"
The legendary Spartak Moscow midfielder Yegor Titov has made an epic rant about how "the whole of Europe is at war with Russia." The former Russian national team player, who was banned for one year for doping after the Euro 2004 qualifying match, was fascinated by the invitation to French goalkeeper Matvey Safonov to join PSG.
Titov said this in an interview with the propaganda channel Match TV. The six-time Russian champion noted that the representatives of the aggressor country are "in trend" as many European clubs allegedly continue to follow the players on a massive scale. He added that Russian teams will be banned from international tournaments no earlier than 2026.
"We will be suspended for a few years. We see the whole of Europe fighting against us. Both in the direct and informational sense. They are doing everything to make sure we are not there. It's okay, life doesn't end there. We will continue to live. Safonov's transfer shows that Russian football is alive and well, and they are watching us. No matter how much politicians in the West would like to believe otherwise, we are being watched and invited. We are in a trend. I wish Matvey all the best," Titov said.
Earlier, European Championship bronze medalist Andrey Arshavin cynically demanded that the Ukrainian national team players be taken to Khatyn, where a memorial complex commemorates the massacre of the village's residents by the German occupiers in 1943.
As OBOZ.UA previously reported, the former head coach of the Russian national team Stanislav Cherchesov demonstrated the essence of the Russian people by being outraged by the addressing of himself in the Kazakh language.
