Russian coach says "the world instantly started thinking with its head" because of Putin's visit to Chukotka
The former head coach of the Ukrainian national team, Andrey Nazarov, has made a spectacular claim about the influence of Kremlin dictator Vladimir Putin on sports. The native of Chelyabinsk expressed confidence that the suspension of the Israeli national team from the World Ice Hockey Championship was allegedly connected to the Russian president's visit to the Russian Far East.
Nazarov said this in an interview with Championship.com. The former hockey player made an epic bow to the head of the terrorist state, talking about its incredible influence and respect in the world, and dreamed of Russia's victory in the criminal war against Ukraine.
"The temporary suspension of Israel from international competitions is an expected and logical step on the part of the outside world. Look at the trend: as soon as our president, Vladimir Putin, visited Chukotka and Khabarovsk, the sports world instantly started thinking with their heads. Israel was banned, and the Court of Arbitration for Sport successfully registered Ivan Fedotov's appeal against the sanctions. You see, they have always respected the strong. The Russian national team will definitely return to big international hockey after our victory in the World War II (as the war in Ukraine is shamefully called in Russia - ed.), and we will definitely win," Nazarov said.
Readers of the Sports.ru portal ridiculed the former hockey player for such a fantastic logical chain and his desire to bend over backwards in front of a dictator.
"What is the connection between Chukotka, hockey and Israel? Is he normal? Is everything okay?", "Please explain the cause-and-effect relationship, I don't understand", "And if Putin goes to Salekhard, some Norwegian will be disqualified for doping. Info Hundred", "What will happen in Russian hockey if Putin visits The Hague?", "You need to have a great imagination to connect these events," people wrote in the comments.
Earlier, the President of the Russian Football Federation Vladislav Tretyak expressed an absurd opinion that the national team from Russia was deprived of victory at the World Youth Championship, where it was not even allowed to participate.
As OBOZ.UA previously reported, the Russian Football Union (RFU) demanded that Israeli teams be suspended from the competition. In addition, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) explained the difference in sanctions against Russia and Israel.
