Russian champion complained that "no one is waiting for them on the international stage"

Russian track and field athlete Olga Vovk has expressed confidence that she will not be able to compete in international competitions shortly. The national champion in the 3000-meter race complained that the World Athletics International Federation does not want to see representatives of the terrorist state at its tournaments.
Vovk said this in an interview with Championship.com. At the same time, the 30-year-old athlete advocated that Russian athletes should agree to compete at international tournaments without the national flag and anthem, as well as sign an anti-war declaration.
"International starts? I have a hard time answering that question. I don't know. So far there has not been such a situation and it is not expected shortly. I can't say what I will do, because nobody is waiting for us in the international arena, track and field athletes in particular. The International Federation does not let us forget about it and constantly reminds us that. I am an athlete, I do my job. I want to perform and show great results, so that my small homeland, my relatives, friends, acquaintances and everyone who has made efforts to prepare, so that they all see that it's not all for nothing," Vovk said.
Earlier, Olympic champion Mikhail Mamiashvili reacted to the absence of Russians in the list of top 40 iconic track and field athletes in history with words about "midgets who crave revenge."
As reported by OBOZREVATEL, world champion hurdler Sergey Shubenkov spoke about Ukrainians once again, accusing them of "spoiling the party" when they refused to welcome Russians at international tournaments.
