Russia proposes to assign supervisors to athletes, announcing a "red line" in IOC requirements

World triple jump champion Yolanda Chen has demanded that every Russian team should have a lawyer to monitor the documents signed by athletes to participate in international competitions. The former athlete reacted in this way to the words of taekwondo player Lilia Khuzina, who complained that she was not allowed to be photographed with the World Cup gold medal against the backdrop of national symbols under the terms of her security clearance.

Chen said this in a commentary to the propaganda TV channel Match TV. The winner of the World Indoor Championships in Barcelona '95 called this requirement of the international federation a crossing of "red lines" and expressed confidence that Russian athletes should be assigned supervisors.

"I congratulate all our winners on their medals. It is much nicer to see them on the podium than as loners. Their names will be written in the annals. As for the papers they sign, I want to say this. Teams that are going to compete somewhere should have a lawyer who should check what is written there. There is a red line," Chen said.

As a reminder, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) has recommended that federations suspend Russian athletes who are related to the Russian army and law enforcement agencies, as well as team sports.
