Leonid Loivskyi told what he would do with the leader of the Russian Federation during a personal meeting

Former head coach of the Ukrainian boxing team Leonid Loivskyi, when asked what he would do with Kremlin leader Vladimir Putin, recalled the events of 2019. Back then, the Russian dictator was forced to stand under the Ukrainian anthem.

"What would I do if I were locked in a room with Putin? He's not even a person to me... I would like him to simply not exist. At the European Games, we forced him to stand up after winning the final and stand for the Ukrainian anthem when Khyzhnyak became the European Games champion. What would you do with him now? I would make him sing the Ukrainian anthem," Loivskyi was quoted as saying by SE.

In 2019, a 23-year-old Ukrainian boxer, Oleksandr Khyzhniak, won a gold medal at the II European Games in Minsk.

In the final of the competition, Khyzhnyak, who competed in the 75 kg weight category, confidently defeated Italian fighter Salvatore Cavallaro. All the judges gave the victory to our compatriot 30:26, 30:27, 30:25, 29:28, and 30:26.

It should be noted that last July, Khyzhniak did not communicate with his compatriots after winning the final of the European Games 2023. The 27-year-old welterweight simply walked past the journalists and left the arena after winning the gold medal.

He did not want to say anything about the scandal with the International Boxing Federation or the war in his homeland.
