Russian President Vladimir Putin took part in the opening ceremony of the Future Games digital tournament in Kazan, which will take place from February 21 to March 3. In his speech, the Kremlin leader said that Russia "remains one of the leading sports powers".

"It is natural that the idea to combine classical and esports was born in Russia. Our country has been and remains one of the leading sports powers on the planet, home to great athletes, victories, and records. "The Future Games are about freedom from political conditions, any kind of discrimination and double standards. We have always been in favor of promoting sport and its high humanistic values. "The Future Games are our gift to the global sports family," Putin said.

Such pathos on the part of the Russian dictator received an unexpected reaction from Russian fans. They did not support their leader, but organized a real harassment on the Internet.

The most hateful comment was a post about Putin's death.
