Bortnichuk calls for isolation of Russia

Russia must be expelled from the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and all sports federations until the war in Ukraine ends and compensation is paid to our country. After the world saw the atrocities committed by Russians in Bucha, it became clear that criminals and murderers have no place in sports.

This opinion was expressed by the Minister of Sports of Poland Kamil Bortniczuk. He emphasized that in recent years, Russia has been buying up seats for its representatives in the leadership of various federations, the Polsat Sport website reports.

"We are in favor of the permanent exclusion of Russians - until the peace process is completed and Ukraine is compensated for its losses - from all sports federations, including the International Olympic Committee. Everyone knows that in recent years the Russian Federation has pursued a very aggressive diplomatic policy, actually buying up seats on the boards of key sports federations. There is no place for criminals in world sports," Bortniczuk said.

As a reminder, Poland was one of the first countries to boycott the Russian national football team, for which the Match TV channel called it "animals."
