"Partizan made me very angry": Surkis reacts to Dynamo's 6-2 Champions League win
The president of Dynamo Kyiv, Ihor Surkis, has expressed his delight at the team's victory over Partizan Belgrade in the first match of the second qualifying round of the Champions League. The White and Blues boss noted that the Serbian rivals had angered the Ukrainians by their trip to the "fraternal tournament" in Moscow.
Surkis said this in an interview with Dynamo's official website. According to the official, he liked the game of his players and especially the team's reaction to the missed penalty goal, after which our compatriots literally smeared Partizan on the lawn of the stadium in Lublin.
"You know that Partizan traveled to Russia, and Russia is not just killing our citizens, but killing our children and women. So this victory was very important. "Partizan made us very angry, and we won for the sake of all our soldiers, women, and Ukrainian families. I can say that it was the most important in recent years. The unfortunate goal we conceded at the beginning is a shame, it happens, it's football. But the guys coped with it, and despite conceding the second optional goal, they managed to secure the score, after which we are going to Belgrade more or less calm," Surkis said.
The return leg between Dynamo and Partizan will take place on Wednesday, July 31, in Belgrade. The starting whistle will be blown at 21:00 Kyiv time.
