"No reason to be punished so cruelly." ISU extended the "mockery" of Russia

The International Skating Union (ISU) has extended the suspension of Russia and Belarus from all international tournaments, reports the press service of the organization. Skaters from Russia and Belarus will not participate in international competitions from March 2022.
On its official website, ISU stated that it continues to monitor the situation in Ukraine. At the same time, ISU communiqué 2469, which mentions the ban for Russians and Belarusians, remains in force.
This situation caused real hysteria in the Russian Federation.
"I did not expect such a decision, I could not even assume that anything would be punished so harshly. This is just a mockery of us. No one has ever sat for two years in suspension," said the honored coach of Russia in figure skating Tatiana Tarasova in an interview with TASS.
Alexander Kogan, General Director of the Figure Skating Federation of Russia (FSFR), also could not contain his emotions.
"We had some hope, even though it was small. It's a pity that common sense did not prevail at ISU, especially after their financial report," R-Sport quoted the head of the FFKR.
As reported by OBOZREVATEL, the day before famous Russian figure skaters Diana Davis and Gleb Smolkin decided to play for the Georgian national team. 20-year-old Diana and 23-year-old Smolkin have already added the Georgian flag to their profiles in social networks.
