Mudryk is in the squad: Ukraine names bid for Euro 2023 youth football tournament

The head coach of the youth national team of Ukraine Ruslan Rotan has decided on the team's application for the 2023 European Championship, which will be held in Georgia and Romania from 21 June to 8 July. The Blue and Yellows coach decided to refuse the services of English Bournemouth defender Ilya Zabarny, but included a representative of Chelsea in the squad, Mykhailo Mudryk.
This is stated on the official website of the Ukrainian Football Association (UAF). The application includes 23 players, with Shakhtar Donetsk having the largest representation - six players.

According to the results of the draw, Rotan's men are in the quartet, where their rivals will be Croatia, Romania and Spain. The two best teams in the group will reach the quarter-finals. The winners of the tournament (except England and France) will receive tickets to the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.

At their debut European Championship in 2006, the Ukrainians reached the final, where they lost to the Netherlands. And at the 2011 tournament, the Blue and Yellows finished last in the group.
