Former Formula 1 driver Ralf Schumacher came out at the age of 49 and admitted to his non-traditional sexual orientation. The brother of the legendary Michael Schumacher hid his relationship with his partner Etienne for two years.

Schumacher Jr. posted the photo on his Instagram page. In the picture, Ralf and Etienne are admiring the sunset. "The most beautiful thing in life is when you have the right partner by your side with whom you can share everything," the former racer commented on his post.

German actress Carmen Heiss, who has long been friends with Schumacher, supported the former athlete. "Today he confessed his homosexuality. This step was an act of freedom and self-acceptance for him. It was a bold decision that had been long overdue, and he is now full of pride and confidence," she wrote.

It is worth noting that Ralf Schumacher has a 22-year-old son, David, from former model Cora-Caroline Brinkman. The young man followed in the footsteps of his father and uncle and became a race car driver.
