"Late in the game": Dovbyk explained what happened in the Italy-Ukraine match
Ukraine forward Artem Dovbyk admitted that the national team lacked concentration at the beginning of the game with Italy. The Girona player noted that it was necessary to endure the first 25 minutes, just like with England.
The team "rolled in" too late, which cost them two conceded goals by the 30th minute.
"As such teams start very aggressively, they put a lot of pressure on the defense and the entire defensive line from the first minutes. I think the first game with England had an impact, not everyone recovered and entered the game a little late," Dovbyk was quoted by Vzbirna.
"Somewhere the luck was not on our side, and you need it with such teams," Artem added.
As reported by OBOZREVATEL, the national team of Ukraine lost to the team of Italy in the 6th round of qualifying for the European championship. The match at the San Siro Stadium in Milan ended with a score of 2:1. As in the previous match with the English, our opponent took the initiative from the first minute.
Later, Ukraine midfielder Heorhiy Sudakov admitted that he made a mistake with the choice of equipment for the match of the qualifying tournament for the European Championship-2024 with Italy.
