Joke of the day: Russia women's national football team loses to North Korea in a crushing defeat

The Russian women's national football team lost to their North Korean rivals in a friendly match without a chance. The representatives of the aggressor country, who are suspended from international competitions, were unable to counteract the Asians at home, losing with a crushing score of 0:3.

The score was opened in the 30th minute. Hong Song-ok scored an accurate shot after a solo pass. A few minutes later, Han Jin-hong entered the Russian penalty area and scored beautifully under the crossbar. The Koreans scored the third goal at the end of the match after a quick counterattack.

Interestingly, the North Korean national team is among the top 10 in the world rankings of women's national teams. However, they have missed the last three World Cups, never reaching the quarterfinals in the history of their performances at the World Cups.

The DPRK has participated in the Olympic Games twice, in 2008 and 2012, and was eliminated from the tournament after the group stage. The North Koreans are three-time Asian champions, but the last time they won the tournament was 16 years ago. They also won gold at the Asian Games back in 2014.
