It's official: famous Ukrainian striker joins Turkey club for 6 million euros. All details of the transfer

Shakhtar forward Danylo Sikan will continue his career in Turkey as both clubs confirmes his transfer to Trabzonspor. According to Transfermarkt, it amounted to 6 million euros, and the player's contract will be valid until the summer of 2029.
Sikan called the transfer an important step for his development and noted the high level of the new club. He is ready to play both in his usual position as a center forward and in any other, depending on the coach's decision.
This is Sikan's second experience playing abroad. In 2022, he spent six months at the German club Hansa on loan, where he scored one goal in 11 matches. This season, he became Shakhtar's top scorer among strikers, scoring 4 goals, second only to midfielders.
Trabzonspor is currently in 9th place in the Turkish league, and Sikan's debut may take place already on February 1 - in a game against Kayserispor.
During the welcoming of the player, the club's management expressed support for Ukraine and hope for a speedy end to the war.
As reported, last fall, it was reported that Shakhtar was trying to keep Sikan in their squad - the management then made the 22-year-old a more promising offer.
According to the new agreement, the striker will receive a salary higher than his current one. The media previously claimed that Danylo did not want to continue working with the Donetsk club and planned to continue his career abroad.
