The IOC responded to Kremlev

The International Olympic Committee (IOC) accused the Russian president of the International Boxing Federation (IBA) Umar Kremlev of calling for violence. The organization reacted sharply to the words of the representative of the aggressor country, who resented the fact that the IOC intends to withdraw recognition of the IBA.

This is stated in the message of the official website of the IOC. The statement claims that the Kremlev was not against the physical destruction of some committee members who actively oppose the illegal activities of the IBA.

"The IOC Executive Council condemns the violent and threatening language used by IBA President Umar Kremlev against a number of IOC individuals. Incitement to hatred and derogatory language against persons working for the IOC is simply unacceptable. Accusations that they are "covering up crimes" are an absolute slander. In addition, calling for a person formerly associated with the IOC to be 'shot' is language that has no place in sport or in any civilized debate," the IOC stressed.

It should be noted that the day before the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) rejected the IBA appeal against the recommendation of the IOC Executive Committee to withdraw the recognition of the federation. Earlier, the IBA also spat on the CAS decision to ban the presidential election and re-elected Kremlev. As a result, an ardent fan of dictator Vladimir Putin lifted the suspension of Russians from boxing tournaments and imposed sanctions on Ukraine.

The IBA banned our country's junior national team from competing under the national flag at the European Championships. In response, our team declared a riot and withdrew from the competition. The legendary Alexander Usik supported his compatriots and appealed to the Kremlev.

As reported by OBOZREVATEL, Olympic champion Alexei Tishchenko of Russia complained about the "show flogging" after the IOC decision on the IBA.
