"I have bad feelings": former Russian national team player names the date when Russia will return to UEFA and FIFA tournaments
Igor Shalimov, a former player of Spartak Moscow and a number of Italian clubs, expressed confidence that Russia's suspension from international tournaments would last at least 10 years. The former Russian national team player also dreamed of the victory of the aggressor country in the criminal war against Ukraine.
Shalimov said this in an interview with the RB Sport portal. Using selected propaganda clichés, he shared the absurd idea that Western countries, for whom "the SVO (as the war in Ukraine is shamefully called in Russia - ed.) will end in defeat," will not be able to start playing with Russians and will keep them isolated.
"I don't feel good about the forecast for the return. I think it's at least 10 years away. The point is not that the next World Cup will be held in the United States, and the next Euro in Britain, countries that are not friendly to Russia. The point is that if the World Cup ends in victory for us and defeat for the West and Europe, it will be difficult for them to accept this and pretend that nothing has happened and start playing with us," Shalimov said.
Earlier, CSKA Moscow defender Daniil Krugovoy expressed a ridiculous opinion that the Russian national team will soon be returned to international competitions.
As reported by OBOZ.UA, Russian midfielder Ruslan Litvinov traveled to Iran and said that "everything is fine in Russia."
