"I am against foreigners!" Russian Olympic champion talks about conspiracy against Russians in sports
In February, two-time Olympic champion Alexander Kozhevnikov spoke out against foreigners in Russian sports. The former hockey player even accused officials from the aggressor country of conspiring against their compatriots, including coaches.
Kozhevnikov said this in a commentary to the Legalbet portal, assessing the situation in the hockey and football championships, where teams are led by five legionnaires. The Russian representative expressed confidence that Russia has its own strong coaches who are simply not allowed to work.
"People look the other way, they like other specialists, as if we don't have our own coaches in hockey and football. But they don't pay attention to them. I am against foreigners! We have a good school and coaches. They are looking for reasons not to appoint Russian coaches. Maybe some are just inconvenient for the management. We need to ask the boards of directors why they make incomprehensible decisions," Kozhevnikov said.
As OBOZREVATEL previously reported, Valery Karpin complained that even African national teams do not want to play friendly matches with aggressors.
