He got caught again: UEFA president wishes Ukraine's rivals to reach Euro 2024
The President of the European Football Union (UEFA), Alexander Čeferin, wished that as many teams from the Balkan region as possible would reach the 2024 continental championship. In particular, he singled out the national team of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which became a rival of Ukrainians in the playoffs for the European Championship.
Čeferin said this during a visit to Belgrade for the Serbia-Bulgaria match, which took place on November 19, the Sarajevo Times portal reports. The functionary wished the Bosnians to reach the European Championships, not knowing that they would face a confrontation with the Ukrainian national team, which the UEFA head had given up on before the Blue and Yellows' match against Italy.

"I am glad that the three national teams of the region are close to qualifying for the European Championship. Serbia, Croatia and Slovenia. I would like to see Bosnia and Herzegovina and North Macedonia qualify as well, but the latter have no chance. Bosnia and Herzegovina has playoffs, but the way they play... Of course, I would like to see as many teams from the region qualify for the European Championship as possible," said Čeferin.
