FIFA is preparing to return Russia to the World Cup: The media named the first team to be admitted to the tournament

The Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) is preparing to lift the ban on Russian teams from participating in tournaments under its auspices. In particular, we are talking about the U-17 national teams, which were previously admitted to the qualifying tournaments for the European Championships among boys and girls.
This was reported by the authoritative British corporation Sky. It is noted that the decision may be announced as early as October 4. This will mean that Russian youth teams will be able to compete at the World Cups if they can qualify for them. At the same time, the 2023 tournament will take place in November in Indonesia, meaning that there will be no Russian representatives.
At the same time, the women's team can still qualify for the 2024 World Cup, which will be hosted by the Dominican Republic. The qualifying tournament for it will be the European Championships, to which the Russians have already qualified. However, the hosts of the championship, the Swedes, have already announced that they do not intend to allow representatives of the aggressor country to participate in the tournament.
It should be noted that the decision of the European Football Union (UEFA) to return Russian national teams to youth tournaments caused a riot - 11 countries decided to boycott matches with representatives of the Russian Federation.
As OBOZREVATEL previously reported, legendary German striker Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, saying that Russian "children are victims of war," supported UEFA's decision to allow the Russian youth team to participate in the 2024 UEFA European Championship qualifiers.
