Dynamo suffered a sensational defeat on its 96th birthday, losing for the first time under Shovkovskyi

Dynamo Kyiv unexpectedly lost to Chornomorets Odesa 2-3 in the 26th round of the Ukrainian Premier League football championship. The match took place on the 96th anniversary of the Kyiv team at the Lobanovskyi Stadium in Kyiv.
Before the game, bookmakers clearly favoured Kyiv.
The match itself started shockingly for the hosts. Already in the 3rd minute after a corner kick, Oleh Demchenko unsealed Neshcheret's goal.
The goal inspired the guests and they continued to attack, literally crushing the White and Blues' defence. Shovkovskyi's men looked helpless, conceding the second goal after 8 minutes.
After a flank cross by Ziguy Badibanga, Oleh Demchenko header made the score indecent - 0:2.
During the break, Dynamo's acting head coach found the necessary words for his players. With an interval of 2 minutes, Vanat and Buyalskyi scored a goal each.
The rest of the game was an evenly contested affair, with Odesa playing with more confidence. In the 71st minute, Oleh Demchenko scored a brace to give Chornomorets the lead.
This was Shovkovskyi's first defeat as coach of the capital's team.
Dynamo is fifth in the UPL standings with 50 points, 5 points behind Zorya, which is fourth. Shakhtar is in the lead with 60 points. They will play their game against Ingulets at 17:00.
