"Doubts that it will happen": pro-Putin Olympic champion from Russia refused to cheer for Russians at the Olympics
Olena Vyalbe, President of the Russian Cross-Country Skiing Federation (RCCF), will withdraw her support for her countrymen at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris. The three-time Olympic winner added that she allegedly will not follow competitions where representatives of the aggressor country will be able to compete under a neutral flag.
Vyalbe said this in a comment to the propaganda news agency TASS. According to the accomplice of Vladimir Putin's dictatorial regime, she has serious doubts that the Olympics will take place in the French capital at all. She did not name any specific reasons for the possible cancellation of the tournament.
"To be honest, judging by what's going on there, I have serious doubts that the Olympics will take place at all. I will not watch it. If the Russians compete there, for God's sake, but I won't be rooting for them or watching them," said Vyalbe.
She also bent over backwards for Putin, whose confidant she will be in the so-called Russian presidential election. "I have great respect for our president. This is the second time I'm participating in his election campaign as his proxy. I consider it a great honor, but above all, it is also a huge responsibility," the former skier swore allegiance to the Kremlin leader.
Earlier, the president of the All-Russian Rhythmic Gymnastics Federation (VFGG) Irina Viner declared the greatness of athletes from Russia and called their performance at the Olympics "obvious evil."
