Former Ukrainian tennis player Oleksandr Dolgopolov commented on US President Donald Trump's statements about his intention to establish control over Greenland and the Panama Canal. According to the 35-year-old Kyiv resident, who joined the Ukrainian Armed Forces after the start of the full-scale invasion, these words are full of contradictions.

"First degenerates told you they are anti war and saving you from WW3 and nuclear ruzzia, now they laugh about and propose to invade Greenland and Panama. Are you not entertained?!" the athlete wrote on social network X.

Trump recently wrote on his social network Truth Social: "For the purposes of national security and freedom around the world, the United States of America believes that possession and control of Greenland is an absolute necessity."

After that, the newly elected US president refused to rule out the possibility of using military force to achieve this goal, which caused heated discussions in the international press.

Trump's statements caused a wave of criticism, in particular from representatives of Ukraine, who consider such words dangerous and provocative.

As OBOZ.UA wrote, King Frederik X of Denmark decided to update the royal coat of arms, emphasizing the importance of Greenland and the Faroe Islands. This step is considered a symbolic confirmation of the desire to maintain control over the territories belonging to Denmark.
