Al Nassr's Portuguese forward Cristiano Ronaldo could be arrested for crossing rules in the Arab Champions League semi-final against Al Shorta, news.italy24.press reported. The 38-year-old Portugal captain scored the only winning goal from the penalty spot before making this Christian gesture of emotion.

CR7 now risks at least a warning from the club's top management. Praying or publicly displaying objects and symbols belonging to the Christian religion is considered a crime in Saudi Arabia, punishable even by arrest.

Anyone who does not abide by these rules is charged with religious proselytizing. Former Al Nasst player Colombian Juan Pablo Pino was recently arrested at a local shopping center because of a tattoo depicting Jesus.

Ronaldo is the most valuable asset in Saudi soccer today and Al Nassr has assembled a team of champions around him with Brozovic, Ospina, Mane, Fofana, Telles and Talisca. CR7 will meet Al Hilal in the final of the Arabian Champions League.

As reported by OBOZREVATEL, Cristiano Ronaldo topped the list of the world's highest-paid athletes according to Forbes in July this year for the first time since 2017 (and for the third time overall)

Ronaldo previously ruled out his return to European soccer.
