The so-called "head of the soccer federation" of the Donetsk people's republic, Pavlo Davydenko, believes that there is nothing impossible in the integration of the "local" Shakhtar into Russian soccer. "There is a sports component and, first of all, financial. We met with representatives of the RFU at the Russia-Africa summit. We discussed issues of interaction. But you need to understand that the issue of Shakhtar's inclusion will be decided at a higher level than the regional soccer union. You can see that the Crimean teams are competitive in the Russian championship. The level of their play is not inferior to the FNL teams in their division," Davydenko told Russian propagandists.

According to Davydenko, they are willing to wait as long as necessary.

"There are hostilities on our territory. I can't name a specific date. We hope that we will definitely play in the Russian championship. The Crimeans have been waiting for nine years. You can see for yourself what the situation is now. We are ready for any development of events," the "Dnr official" said.
