"Asia holds real games": Russia spoke in favor of withdrawal from UEFA, where RF is always a non-leader

The former president of Moscow's Torpedo and Lokomotiv, Ilya Gerkus, has demanded that the Russian Football Union (RFU) immediately join the Asian Confederation (AFC). The official acknowledged that teams from the aggressor country have never been at the forefront in Europe.
Gerkus said this live on the program called "There is a topic!" on the propaganda Match TV TV channel. The former manager of the capital's clubs expressed confidence that "the sooner we move to Asia, the more we can win."
"We have always been secondary in the UEFA, we were sixth in the ranking. We played at the Euros badly. And now we can win in Asia. We can give a lot to the Asian Confederation. It's a very interesting direction. It is better to play in Asia rather than without attributes. We will play with a coat of arms and a flag. These are real games on equal terms," Gerkus said.
Earlier, he criticized the European Football Union (UEFA) for allowing Russian youths to qualify for the continental championship without a flag and anthem, comparing Russia to Hitler's Germany.
As OBOZREVATEL previously reported, the English Football Association staged a riot over the admission of Russian players to UEFA tournaments, refusing to play with teams from Russia. The Ukrainian federation also condemned the decision.
