"Almost everything that is written is true." A football player fighting in the Armed Forces of Ukraine has admitted what is happening at the front
Mykola Stetsenko, a former midfielder for "Ingulets", "Chaika" and several other domestic clubs who has been fighting in the Ukrainian Armed Forces since last summer, confirmed the information from many media outlets that the Ukrainian army is suffering from serious shelling.
"I will say this, almost everything that is written is true. We are trying to save shells as much as possible and use them only for fire support of our assaults or suppression of enemy attacks. No one just shoots for no reason, like the orcs do. The Russians are f*cking much more. It was especially felt in Avdiivka when they started to slowly take it away," Ukrainian Football quoted Stetsenko as saying.
The former midfielder admitted that the most frightening thing for him is to see a "bird" in the sky.
"If an enemy drone spotted us and we didn't have time to change our position, then shelling starts within two to four minutes. At this point, we need to jump into the dugout as soon as possible and hope that there will be no direct hit. After the Uragan shot, the arrival takes place within a few seconds, so you need to act very quickly. Thank God, we managed to hide and there were no killed in my brigade," Stetsenko said.
As OBOZ.UA previously reported, Stetsenko told how he ended up in the Armed Forces. He was on his way to sign a contract with Odesa's "Real Farm", but almost missed the stadium. On June 20, 2023, the 28-year-old native of Alchevsk was intercepted by the TCA and SS employees.
Earlier, Roman Solodarenko, the owner of "Kudrivka", a football club from the Chernihiv region, told us about an incident that happened to his newcomers. According to Roman Solodarenko, his two players were served with summonses to the TCA and the SS.
