The Russian Football Union (RFS) has confirmed that the Russian national team will not play in June. Also the team will not have a summer training camp. The Russian players will hold their next training camp in the fall.

"Negotiations are now underway with a number of national federations, and preliminary agreements have been reached to hold friendly matches during the fall FIFA window. The schedule of potential opponents of the national team does not allow to hold a game on convenient dates in June, so it was decided to cancel the June training camp and not to break the program of clubs' preparation for the season," the union said in a statement.

As reported by OBOZREVATEL, on June 15, the Russian national team was to play in Moscow against Cameroon, but the team from Africa refused to participate in the match.

This situation provoked a strong reaction from Russian fans, who called the RFU employees disgraceful.

"They refused to play CAFA tournament themselves (4 matches with an opportunity to pump up the rating), after the ditching of Cameroon there was no plan B. Well, the players and Valera want to rest. Karpin and Kafanov are obviously happy, until September we can sleep peacefully, the salary is dripping on the card", - wrote the users.

Fans from Russia suggest that the national team should be dismantled as unnecessary.

Journalist and military expert Yuri Butusov could not refrain from commenting.

"A special soccer operation is going on according to a pre-approved plan... All world teams refused to play with the Russian team, we do not want to play again with Iran and Tajikistan, and to hide this shame in front of their own deceived population, according to a well-established scheme they make up news that everything is fine as always, we ourselves wanted it so. Russians are deceiving themselves so they don't have to admit their hypocrisy and stupidity," Butusov wrote in his Telegram channel.
