The titled athlete piloted the aircraft himself

Eugeny Bessmertny, champion of the Moscow region in the all-around flying, crashed his Yak-52 plane, reports Telegram-channel 112. The pilot was practicing aerobatics together with his passenger during the training flight, preparing for the competition.

Due to insufficient altitude, the aircraft was unable to come out of the dive and crashed to the ground.

A light-engine plane crashed at the Malino airfield near Moscow. Both the pilot and his traveling companion died.

It later became known that his friend's girlfriend, 17-year-old Arina Chubakhina, was on board with 24-year-old Bessmertny. Arina's boyfriend was at the airfield at the time of the crash and saw everything.

The management of Malino airfield claims that 900 meters was enough to perform the figure. Investigators are looking for the causes of the crash.
